Remembrance Travel Teacher Support

At Remembrance Travel for Schools and Young People we fully appreciate the time and effort that teachers commit to when taking their students away on a tour.

We are therefore fully committed to ensuring that your tour preparation and planning is straightforward and easily organised.

We aim to minimise your workload when selecting and organising your tour. We take care of every aspect of the arrangements, including providing highly valuable educational experiences.

“The tour was thoroughly planned, pacy, exciting and engaging. It was a pleasure to work alongside such a dedicated guide on our tour. This was not our first tour with Remembrance Travel and certainly won't be our last.” Dearne High Humanities College

Teachers are involved with the creation and assessment of our tour programmes. This ensures that we deliver highly stimulating and worthwhile tour experiences that meet clearly defined learning objectives.

FInancial Security

ABTA and ATOL logosRemembrance Travel for Schools and Young People is part of the educational travel division of The Newmarket Group. All bookings and monies paid are protected by the Group's ABTA bond and ATOL licence. This means that your money is protected, whether you travel by coach or by air.

Passports and visas

For teachers wishing to arrange an overseas tour for their students, ensuring that every member of the group has accurate and valid documentation both to enter the destination country and then to return to the UK is essential.

Should you have any specific concerns, we strongly recommend that you consult with the UK Passport Office and/or the appropriate destination embassy.

Travel insurance

Travel insurance is not only recommended, but is absolutely essential. We make it a condition of booking that all passengers travelling overseas are adequately covered. However as many schools, teachers and students have their own annual cover we do not include a compulsory insurance charge.

European Health Insurance Card (EHIC)

If travelling to Europe, we would also strongly recommend that everyone takes with them an EHIC. This card will allow you to receive free or reduced-cost emergency health care while abroad in an EU country. It will also reduce the risk of you having to pay for treatment 'on the spot' and then make a claim on your return to the UK. Application forms are available from your local Post Office or online at
